I am ex=
cited to tell you that Farm Sanctuary is co-sponsoring New York Sta=
te Lobby Day again this year. Here are the details:
What: Lobby Day =97 Farm Sanctuary is urging=
our members to lobby on behalf of Assembly Bi=
ll 424, which would ban battery cages, gestation crates, and veal crate=
s.
When: April 17, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Empire State Plaza Convention Center:=
Meeting Rooms 1 & 2
Who: Farm Sanctuary; The Humane Society of t=
he United States, the New York State Humane Association; the Humane Society=
of New York; and New Yorkers for Clean, Livable, and Safe Streets.
This is=
an exciting opportunity to meet directly with your elected officials and t=
heir staff about legislation that will significantly impact animals. There =
will be a briefing with tips for lobbying and an overview of pending animal=
legislation that will prepare you to meet your elected officials and advoc=
ate for animals.
Legislators are most motivated when their con=
stituents make time to meet with them face to face. By attending th=
e 2013 New York State Humane Lobby Day, you can be instrumental in helping =
to protect animals from factory farming abuses.
Please =
register today to attend. If you live in New York =
City, you can also register separately for the rou=
nd-trip bus trip for just $26.
If you =
have any questions, please feel free to contact Farm Sanctuary Senior Advoc=
acy Director Bruce Friedrich.
Thank you for all you do to help f=
arm animals.
